What's the skinny on the "Timing key"?

Grunter, what are you running for jets exactly, whats your elevation, and are you using the 5 degree key?

So what's the verdict. If the 3 degree key really makes 4 horse that's great. 3-4 horse should give you some rpm increase.

Hi skydog!

You could turn this around - machined side the other way and rotate your flywheel towards front to back off the timing!

Additionally!!!

If any of you are using or want to try the Klotz fuel additive(It's said to give 7% more power) you need to do the same as if you would have a turbo(back up the timing)

I stayed with 89 Octane and have had no problem! (Just thought I'd share!)
What mods have you done to your rx1,woody just installed the 3 degree key and i had haucks pipe and waiting on haucks fuel regulator to go along with his kit, does the klotz just suppose to raise octane or add power, from the added timing with it??

Woodys did this upgrade to my sled along with the cam timing. That being said I also bought a timing key for my Polaris 4 wheeler it is basically just offset to get more timing. In a Turbo or Nitrous case where you might want to take some timing out you can have one machined pretty cheap if you know a good Machine shop
