Whats with all the stuck starters lately.

Suggest taking it off & find out.
Have seen the Shaft come loose from the windings and the gearing.
That also many times makes a galling sound.

Might also hunt up a good rebuilder, and have them rebuild the starter.
From my experience, nothing beats a stock starter.
Have had many friends with aftermarket ones that did not work.
(Or didn't very long!)

Rock How can I order one of your starter savers? I just cooked my third starter in 1400 miles. I Just woke up SUnday Morning 700 miles into a trip starter worked great whole time bam nothing no signs just bam nothing. Way up in Northern Quebec miles n miles from home. Where do i hook it to? the starter relay? If the light is powered how can i tell if its relay or ignition?
