I don't think you looked very hard...there are two different attak's...the Apex LTX and the Apex LTX GT.
I originally was kinda pissed they didn't offer a crossover length track for the Nytro but I'm over it. My wife won't let me buy (her) the sled I wanted this year anyway. Everytime I look at that Nytro I love it more and more. It's going to beat ALOT of 600's, 700's and 800's on the trails, lakes, grass, and tracks next year. Can't wait to ride one.
To those saying they are going to the other side because Yami didn't deliver the EXACT sled they wanted...Have fun on a two-stroke. I'll sacrifice track length to have the best motors built in the industry. Talk about not having exactly what you want...isn't the motor a big part of your sled buying equation. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE BEATS THESE FOUR STROKE MOTORS...NO ONE!!!!!

I wonder if we YAMAHA GUYS are sufferring from being so close to 'exactly what we want' that we are no longer satisfied with I think X model chasis, shocks, track and motor combo fits me best
SO now we are disapointed and complain when it is not a perfect fit.
I can not imagine trying to please this market cause we all have different wants. BUT quality usually trumps all my minor gripes

I like the line up for 08. I'll be really excited to see a super charger for the mountain nytro. I guess that was my biggest item on my 08 wishlist and I got it, a three cylinder in the FX chassis. I also like that my 06 sleds will still bring some money. The only gripe I have with the 08's would be some of the color scemes, but maybe they'll grow on me when i see them in person. It also appears that they haven't mastered that handwarmer problem. It looks like they still have the 07 grips.

1. A Phazer RTX with a 136" with 1,5" lugs.
2. A FX Nytro RTX with a 144" with 1,5" lugs.
That is something that us flatlanders is missing, and since I'm not interested in building one my self instead of riding.
So rigth now it looks like I'm going with the LYNX X-TRIM 600SDI
I'll add one to that list. A two up with the Apex Engine in it!!

I actually like the direction that Yamaha is going in. They are beginning to show a clear distinction between trail sleds and ditch bangers. That's all I want to see. I have no problem with the new Nytro, I'm sure it will be awesome for what it was made for. It looks great and should handle the big bumps quite well. I won't buy one, but Yamaha doesn't expect me to buy one. They are waiting for me (and people like me) to buy the new Vector or an Apex. I would like to see them use the 130 motor in the Vector next year (and I suspect they will)
I just got back from a week in Quebec and I have to tell you guys that Yamaha OWNS the trails in Quebec. The RX-1, Vector, and Apex are MADE for the riding up there and they outnumbered the combined total of the other three other OEMs by themselves on the trails.(by the way, I only saw 2 Phazers all week, it is just not the kind of sled you would ride up there.) I am happy to see that Yamaha realizes that there is a need for more than one chassis in the sport, and hopefully they will continue in that direction in the future.

Being on a "three year model rotation" tech should more advanced. Look at their outboard motor program. Light and full of advancements. Hey, I'm only making a statement. I would still not buy anything except a 4 stroke Yamaha sled. eh ! Its just when u get to this high level of equipment the customer should have the choice, and with all the choices available, the market out here demands alot to keep their interest .
