this is good info. I would be about 7 hours I think from buffalo as the closest point in the US. Not sure this would be a good option or not, it would be nice to have some warranty closer to home. Will have to think about it. A used sled would be more of a benefit. Decisions decisions.

If i were you id get the attack and let her get the apex..
To a chic even 25lbs is alot of weight.. expecially on a already heavy sled..
Compared to the FST.. i think the apex is far superior

Flash, low mileage used should have already addressed all warranty issues plus you can order warranty parts from U.S. dealer, install yourself or have Canadian dealer install and send bad parts back to U.S. dealer, your only cost is labour. The other option is to pay Canadian dealer for warranty repair and send to U.S. dealer for reimbursement.
Right now you could pick up an 06 Attak and 06 Apex with options for about $16,000 or less Canadian plus tax.

Don't feel bad, my 04 Cat T660 Turbo has had some major problems with it. Spent all last summer and fall in the shop. Went to the point that I started calling Cat, after a few weeks doing that, they finally helped and the Dealer got the sled fixed-It was some electrical problem. The previous year, I bought an 05 Vector ER and loved it. Now I have an 06 Vector GT and is even A LOT better than my 05. Now I'm planning on ordering an Attak this summer. The T660 has been acting weird lately and feels like it's about to fall apart completely any second. Don't get me wrong, I still love Cats...I own an 03 ZL600 and it's an awsome sled. One blown belt of it's 5900 miles. Never started on more than 3 pulls. But I can't go back to a 2 stroke, I can't afford it with the miles I do each year.flash 700 said:They are pretty bad, beyond what I consider teething problems. When we picked them up in december both went back to the dealer without 2 lousy miles between the two of them. Starter gear blew apart on mine and her intake manifold blew apart in the parking lot after a backfire without even a mile on it. Going 70 mph plus and it pops out of gear. Got that fixed to. The check engine light comes on so much we ignore it now. It's been in the shop just as much as out of it. Everytime they check the codes the cause for the light has disappeared and they can't troubleshoot it. They clear the codes and within a week the lights back. Mileage is pathetic at 11 mpg. Top speed so far has been great. I have hit 100 once and got spanked by an 06 venture. Max rpm's are only hitting 7000 so there's another problem to deal with. I'm getting a new engine because there is a chance there is metal in the case from the starter gear breaking apart. Lot's of gas in the oil from different owners. Haven't checked mine for fear of the worst. Alot of grinding noises from up front but can't find the source.............sounds alot like ice in a blender. The gas gauge shows empty at 45 miles and flashes at you. Only has a 9 gallon gas tank and at 11 mpg I run out at 105 miles. I actually have to carry a 2 gallon gas can per sled to make sure we make some gas stops on our trips. My wife and I do alot of long distance riding so this is a major problem for us.............man I better stop there I'm getting tired of typing.
So which is the DB II you were mentioning, is that the apex style?

...And the T660 is a really fast sled, before it had it's problems, it was a pretty good sled, but I rode an Attak a few weeks ago and loved it.

Well I sure like the black apex/attack. It looks good and not over done with graphics. My wife loves the look also so we will probably look at them later. Is there a sneak peak for yamahas this year?
