Wheel Problem on my Attak!

I've been checking my rear wheels after reading some of the other posts.............just had a buddy take a look at my sled today.......both rear inside wheels have the rubber torn off! It looks like someone pealed them with a knife!

I have NO studs and 181 miles on it. The wheels were fine until my last ride..........in a fresh 14 inches of snow!!! Looks to be only a matter of time before everyone else will have this problem.

All the other wheels are fine...........just the 2 inside rear are wasted.

Calling the dealer after this post!

I must be lucky, I swapped out my four outside wheels right away, and haven't had any problems with the 2 inside YET I have 168 studs in as well, ( 275 miles) Knock on wood!!

I just got back from a 170 mile ride this morning and both my inside wheels are shredded. No rubber left on them at all. During the ride I checked them and one was peeling, but by the time I was done the rubber is gone. I dropped the sled at my dealers on the way home. I told them it would do no good to replace with the same wheels as it will just happen again on the next ride. They will be calling Yamaha on Monday and I will post what we find out. I had 40 miles previous on the sled and no sign of any problems until this ride. The ride was on good snow, mostly groomed trails. If you haven't had the problem yet, I am willing to bet you will.

Well boy's I only have about 140 miles on mine and the inside wheels are peeled like banana's!! Good thing I have a couple wheels left over from the old sled. I called the dealer and this pissed me off when he said yeah sounds like more internet talk I doubt Yamaha will warranty a bogie wheel. Well I put 5.350 size wheels from SKi-Doo on my RX-1 a bigger wheel and it looks like I'll be doing that again!!! I will put on a picture for you turds to look at!!

600 miles and studed from mile "1" and no wheel problems yet....... just keeping a close watch on each return trip into the shop. This potential proble is not showing a pronounce pattern yet. Guees we'll all stay tuned in.

WOW!!.........I called my dealer after my original post and he said.."No problem...I got plenty of wheels......I'll send 2 out Monday morning" ??? He sounded like he knew all about it?? But.........I did get a different response on the hand warmers!
