I have a 2010 apex ltx 136 with only 200km so I haven't had a chance to really try her out but I was wondering will these sleds do wheelies for lack of a better word or do you have to do some clutching or anything to get them to lift the front . Just wondering and dreaming of snow. Thanks
Fire it up on your lawn. They pull like a mad dog on
grass. Don't flip it.

can you remove it on a 121 extended to 144 to?
Now it can flip over on a 121, but when extended maybe it goes because of the change in length and geomatry?

121" skids can run into problems with it removed, but the 136" seem to do fine. Not my personal experience but it been discussed before.

lots of inside ski lift in the corners

Track stab due to broken plastic rail protector's from track wrapping around them so hard.
Personally I don't se why you would want that big of a wheelie. Big wheelie = inefficientcy.

If you set the transfer rod to max (tool for adjustment should be in tool kit) it should get the ski's off the snow enough for good fun factor.
You can do what ever you like but IMO I would suggest leaving the control rod in. The skid was designed to operate with it in and the only gain from removing it is bigger wheelie's and if Yamaha wanted bigger wheelies they would have built more adjustment in to it. Only my opinion!

Just eat a few dozen pizza's and loosen up the limiter strap on your suspension. Then just move back on the seat 80's style and let er rip!

I have my 121 set mid transfer and with No studs still have ski lift and carry out of corners if I am into the throttle. (oops now a 128) Much less than when it was 121 with studs - must mean I am spinning.
Don't think of a sled as heavy or light when it comes to ski lift, it is all balance and % of wt on track versus skis. These Delta box chasis and mono shock skid can lift and carry just fine. I agree with KVIPER and would not remove transfer rod. Just loosen it untill you like it. I usuall go one step more prove to myself I don't like it past a certain point and go back.
Have fun

Don't adjust past max though as there has been a case or two that ripped the thread's out of the adjuster and the are not cheap!
