Where is the cheapest place to buy a spare belt?

Re: belt

the first year i rode with no spare...then every year after i buy a new belt for the season and use old for spare...

you really cant beat the price of stock 8DN belts...60 bucks or so,sure beat any DOO belt prices.

I wish my dealer was that cheap. I went to get a new 8DN and they were $72 USD, so I went to a local performance shop and got an Ultimax 3 for $60.

you dont want to run the ultimax 3....if anything you want the XS by carlisle....you will wear any of those out very fast though i hear.

most any good dealers, will discount parts like belts by 10-15% .....$60 bucks plus tax i get mine for....but then again my dealer kicks butt.

just checked the miles i put on my ultimax 3 this year. 200 miles on it and she blew out going across the lake on 1st wide open run. go xs if you want anything but the stock. I going back to stock & staying there.

Belts

I've tried Dayco, Carlisle and a couple of others but always go back to OEM. My dealer usually sells them to me for around $65 plus tax which is close to $70 total. They last almost two seasons since I put on about 15oo miles a year. I install the new one and keep the best used as a spare but have never had to change one on the trail with the Apex's.

they have awesome prices, i wish they were on the east coast, freight is high[/quote]

Great prices but as you mention their shipping charges are high even for a dealer on the west coast. Throw a belt in US Priority Mail box and it will cost $7.50 , not $13.
