I have the Xenons from Royal in my Apex. 80/130 watt. Wild amount of light. I have Piaa's on my truck and in my bike. EXpensive but well worth it. I had a set of silverstars a couple of years ago. Never got 3 months out of them.

I've had Silverstars in my car for over three years. Better light than stock, and not very expensive. I think I got them at Advance Auto parts on sale or rebate or something. Cheaper than Walmart anyway.

I looked on ebay for the hightest wattage bulbs I could find. I think they're 130/90 or so. They are a very white color and I have experienced absolutely no problems. We're not allowed to put up links to ebay, or I'd list one for you. No need to spend tons of money on PIAA's. I have also put the DIY HID kits in vehicles and have absolutely no problems with them. Not one has failed yet. Just not a lot of room under the hood of the sled, and I also didn't want to risk getting pulled over for HID's on a sled for some crazy reason. I bought all of th HID kits on ebay. I stick with 6000k whitest of the white light. I've tried eurodezigns 8000k xenon halogen bulbs, but they're too blue and distort how things look. Remember that the lower the Kelvin color you get, the brighter it actually is, but the lower Kelvin degrees look more yellow. I just did a search for h4 140 on ebay and there is an auction selling 140/100 watt bulbs for $5.74 each with $3.48 in shipping. Use Bing.com first and you'll get 10% back with paypal and earn some ebay bucks as well. Let me know if you have questions. No electrical issues at all with my sled, either.

Is there any concern about the heat those high wattage bulbs put out?
