Where is the jetting on your Bender turbo?

Spray25: Do you think I should leave the needles dropped 2 grooves, or should I put them back to stock and start dialing in from there? It really liked the stock needles and 600 pito jet when under full throttle.

All my problems were, 4500-7000 RPM when arond 1/4 throttle and very little boost. Thanks

I am currently of the opinion that the 1/4 throttle issue is pilot jet related. It will be a few days before I can try larger ones though.

If it were me I would leave the needles and mains where they are and try larger pilots. Just keep an eye on the EGT. And try to relocate the EGT ASAP.

HYERUP..... i run stock jets in all places with my stage II..... remember, the pito tube offers only a limited range.... once you blead off the higher presure differential maybe a pound or so, you will be left at the same presure as the intercooler... for me it seems to offer the range i need for changes in temps..... 200 for below 0, 500 for 20's and seems 700 for 40 and higher... that works for me at 1000ft. elevation.... not sure what elevation you are at, but given your jetting and your picture, it must be really high!

spray25: Slide was sticking in carb#1. Took airbox off, and was able to easily push up slides on carbs 2-4. Slide #1 would only go up about 3/4 inch.

Put gum cutter on a rag and wiped slide down and it works fine how.

Could not see or feel anything on slide that would have been holding it though.

Sticky slides will definately cause problems!! Have you rode since then?

Spray25: We don't have much snow to speak of, so I pulled the carbs off to check float setting also.

All 4 floats are @ 9mm. Carbs upside down, measuring from the carb base to the highest part of the float.

You guys are all going to at least 15mm, Correct?

Yes except it is supposed to be with the carbs at about 45 degrees so that the needle spring is not collapsed. I did mine in the manner you just mentioned and when measured correctly I think they were 17mm. I can't remember for sure though cause that was a long time ago and I have a severe case of CRS!!
