So I started doing oil change and chain case. I drained everything and cleaned magnets and chain case.
Put it back together and added chain case fluid.
Then I found this under the sled........ Looks like a ball from a bearing.
Now I have to drain and remove the cover again to see where it came from.
Sled has 2934 miles, had 1685 when the sight glass failed (was posted).
So far it's the only one I have found.

I wouldn't worry about it. You however might want to worry about it.

That ball looks look je the plug from one of the crank rod journal oil gallery
Check your dollies or anything in shop with wheels like a stool. They like to shed the bearings.

Yea, I wish it was from a wheel.....that's the first thing I checked when I found it. Oh well, tear it apart and inspect. Not today 76 degrees here, the boat is calling my name.
Thanks for the replies, I will report back when I find something.

Keep looking at the caster wheels. There is nothing in your chaincase with a ball bearing that small.Yea, I wish it was from a wheel.....that's the first thing I checked when I found it. Oh well, tear it apart and inspect. Not today 76 degrees here, the boat is calling my name.
