Never put much thought into a fuse. I just installed the cord that came with my visor. Going to do a little rewiring tomorrow. Nice to have a spokesmen like yourself to help the rest of us.

I went A lil further and got A connecter that fit into spair hole in the factory fuse box and added my accessory fuse there.

I add a fuse as close to the battery for anything I add electrical to the sled.

Same goes for cars/trucks. Get the fuse as close as possible to battery.

It's cheap insurance.
