I'm trying to install the Yamaha DC outlet (lighter plug) kit on an 09 XTX. The kit I have is Yamaha part number 8ET-W8192-00. The included instructions are worthless in 6 languages, and don't seem to even address the Nytro or XTX. However, I'm pretty sure this is the right kit.
My question is where do you plug this thing into? I'm having difficulty locating an open plug to mate with the one on the end of the outlet's cord, within the range of the outlet's cord. I've mounted it in the rubber-plugged hole across from the ignition switch, just to the left of the handlebars.
Help...and thanks!

Found it. Thanks.
On mine I had to not only remove the hood, but also the left-side engine cover to get to it.

If I remember correctly others on this site were complaining because the 08 didn't have a plug.

on the 08 you have to go to the fuse box or make your own fuse holder and go to the battery. When going to the fuse box you have to make your own connection inside the fuse box. Hope this helps.
