Bergstrom Triple Points. Order them and he sends for free the shims and ski savers. Great setup for the Nytro. I have 4200 miles on the Triple Points and they are still going.

I have to agree on the Bergstrom Triple Points. I have them on my 08 Nytro and love them. I also have the sly dog powder hounds and now have zero darting.
Im in shock I just called bergstroms to order some triple points and they answered the phone. Def the best, longest lasting carbide I have ever used.

I've been riding Scott about doing a better job ALL summer. Hope he maintains his answering the phone all season LOL!

I'm currently using the 6" cobra heads. No darting but a lot of push in the corners and the steering effort is very heavy. Did you end up going to a dual runner? any input on this? -from the HHBC in MattawaI have never tried either of the ones you have on there, when I bought my nytro it had Cobra Head carbides on it. they work really well but it was really hard to turn and no i did not have all the weight on skis. but I have also heard that the Stud Boy Deuce runners are really well also and those r the ones i will be trying this season

- 08' Nytro RTX 40th Anniversary - Stretched
I had stock skis on my 08' for this past Give Away ride shimmed a 1/4" with 6" Stud Boy duallies. My 08' is stretched to 144" x 1.25" ripsaw no studs with tipped up rail extensions. No push cornered like it was on rails. Steering was a little heavy but not bad. The conditions were right for some darting occasionally. I think most people had some darting that weekend. Overall I was pretty happy with it. G.B.stud boy deuce with shimmed rubber worked great for me.

I have 6000 miles on my 8 inch triple points and they barely look used. 3/8 shimmed.
Running 144 studs down the middle and Those triple points will sure take a high speed curve and bite perfectly!

How do you find the steering effort with these? 8" is a lot of carbideI have 6000 miles on my 8 inch triple points and they barely look used. 3/8 shimmed.

I second this, the Bergstrom triple points (inside), wear bars (outer), shims, ski savers and reversed new rubbers are the best setup I have used as well, over multiple sled's and options. I run Woodies Duallies on my XTC USI skis and those work well on a single runner.Bergstrom triple points. They will last about 5000 miles. The best carbides I have used bar none.

I run the 8" as well, Bergstroms recommendation. Turns like on rails, requires some steering effort but never feels like too much...How do you find the steering effort with these? 8" is a lot of carbide

The faster your going the easier it is. You just have to turn the bar more in corners the faster you go. You will soon gain the high speed turning confidence with these carbides. With the shim pressing the rear half of skis on the trail it becomes so much easier.

I have never disliked the "heavier" steering as at speed it feels stable to me... The shims are a huge help as is the reversed rubbers. Bergstrom suggests keeping skis off ground in off season to preserve rubber spring keeping skis in upward position.
