which direction to install track

I bought a new track and noticed they ran the track in the opposite direction. Is there any gains by doins this? which way would you install the track? I know your supposed to install the track with the arrow pointing in the directing the track rotates. the pic shows the direction the track was installed.

the only good putting a track on backwards would be if you were reversing a lot. other than that there isnt amy good reason I can think of to do it. Id say its best for you to put it on the right way.

Some guys do it due to the lug profile (sharper or straighter on the back side). It does in some cases improve rapid acceleration, but on the other hand it does take away from your braking. It's an old racers secret. Never hurts to run it the way it's designed for.

Yep, it is set for Racing and one could make a case for off trail.

Going to be a lot more strain on / rips in, those cupped paddles if you leave it installed that way and as said above your braking will suffer as well.

I'd change it if it were me.

so the track will last longer if i put it one the right direction? I have the same track on my 99 mxz600 and it works very good on/off trail. I think with the nytro torgue it would be a good idea to install it the right directioin.

Will this track be a huge improvment over the ripsaw off-trail?
