Yes I just seen a nytro xtx at my dealer that had sheet metal or aluminum plate bolted to the top of tunnel protectors. They said it did help the icing up.
I live in flat land and rail beds and lakes and the 1.75 track has taken a beating unfortantly (riped and torn lugs) so going to down grade to a 1.25 track and studs for my area.
I was told also that the studs wouldnt clear heat exchangers at front. hench no tunnel protectors from factory.
I'll have to keep look out for Royal sale and see what there going for. for the track.

You'll get the traction/braking on icy and hard trail.
If you concern about your slide on hard pack : ice scratcher / dupont slide will be the solution.
My ride's partner use that track on a Mx Z 1200 2016: no worries, great traction.

Hey keep in mind that those ice attack type pre studded tracks are single ply. It says right on the tracks do not stud.
Plus if you do any high speed running i wouldnt trust a single ply track with that much power.

I actually just ordered an Ice Attack today.Almost 1 1/4 lug height and i be leave 315 pre molded studs.
It's NOT the XT ( its only single ply) like you said. so we went with orginal ice attack. Looks a lot beefer.
I dont wanna go to crazy yet. I'm waiting till next year to see if Yamaha brings out a "pure" Yamaha for their 50th.
If not the Nytro will remain till Yamaha does. lol
I'm not to worried about speed. maybe on lakes once and awhile. the charger was just an added bonus when i bought it.I'm more of a trail
rider look at scenery. lol
