Which Fox Floats to Buy/Upgrade?

I have an 09 XTX with 08 RTX FLoats on the front. I have revalved them and they ride much better now. I am debating whether to buy the Evol upgrade kit offered by Fox to turn my Floats into Float Evols. Or I can buy a set of new RTX SE Float piggy backs without evol for a good price. Obviously the Evol upgrade is cheaper but will the Evol shock perform better or worse than the SE shocks.

I want to achieve a high ride height for off trail riding, but not have the stiff #*$&@ ride that comes with the higher air pressure (100 psi) to achieve the height. I want to run floats, not spring shocks.

I would foremost make sure I got something with spherical bearings or have them put in. Down the road you will want to upgrade to one of these +3 a-arm packages.

I think it's more about your understanding of shock settings. I run the EVOL X and have a pretty fair understanding of the shocks. I love them and it would be hard to go to anything else now. My point is there is a lot of adjustments and unless your willing and able to learn and adjust a lot, you're waisting your time and money on the Evol.

The Evol upgrade I am talking about does not have any adjustments other than the main air chamber and the Evol chamber. The RTX SE piggyback floats are not Evol, but have h/l spped comp and rebound dampening adjustment clickers. The RTX SE floats I am inquiring about are not Evols.
Upgrade Floats (gen 1) to Evol's (not X's) $350. ++
RTX SE Float X's(piggyback shock - no Evol) $650 ++

What is the better option? No Evol chamber and more adjustable shock.
Or Evol chamber and no shock adjusments?
I do not have the $$ for Evol X's.
