Which manufacturer ......``

I am gonna have to agree with supersled on this one.

Cat motors seem to be pretty stout. Specifically the 600 efi, thats a tough motor. The new 800 is still pretty new.... and I honestly don't think you're gonna make 160+ horsepower out of a 800cc two stroke and not melt a few pistons here and there. (I really like the 2002 ZR600efi and ZR800efi cross country sleds and 2004 Firecat 600efi/700efi sno pros)

The doo 600 carb/500ss motor is also a good motor, i wouldn't hesitate to own that motor again. I had 8000 miles on my old 2002 mxz, mostly WFO miles. I wouldn't buy a doo etec without warranty. 550 fan is also a good motor.

Polaris 600 motor has always been a solid performer. My buddy runs the dyno at the polaris shop and has always been impressed with that motor. (older sleds, the fuji 488 fan and 488 liquid and bullet proof, and pretty much any XC 500 or XC 600)

I think if I was forced to go and buy a 2 stroke sled tomorrow, without warranty...I would look for a 2010+ Arctic cat or ski doo 600 race sled. The sno pro 600 (cross country seems to be the choice for trail riding) and ski doo 600RS sleds sound like tough motors, making good power, and work well on the trails.... If you're happy with 0-90mph, and don't mind mixing oil+gas.

Im trying to agree but a buddy has a 2011 F800 that lasted 65 miles. Problem unknown (dealer secret) but it is ok now or he hasnt said any different.

I had an old 440 snojet that lasted for ever, I believe that it is still out there ripping around! Bomb proof I wish i had that sled back :o|

My buddy at work has 15000+ on his '98 SRX600 and it runs like a champ.

I have 8500 on my 2002 Viper and that runs like a champ.
