- 2015 Yamaha Viper XTX LE
Coming off a 2015 XTX LE, I've been very happy with the sled but want more power. I changed the skis to XTX C&A pros and the 2.25 track isn't that bad but would prefer 1.75. I like the uncoupled skid, mountain bars and seat. I ride mostly on trail but like to play occasionally and feel that front end come up. What sidewinder is the best fit?
BTX 153 SE - love the 1.75, uncoupled, color scheme, mountain skis(wider), mountain seat, but not sure I want a 153.
XTX 137 LE - love the 1.75, awesome shock package, heated seat(not sure I care), but will need to buy skis, not a fan of tuners (too skinny), not much for the trail seat but could live with it, like orange better but red is my second, and not sure if I'll like the coupled skid
XTX 141 SE - love the uncoupled skid, orange color, but same thing as the 137...needs bigger skis, also don't really like the 1.6 Cobra, and trail seat. The LE comes with the 2.25 and mountain setup but $900 more. I really think the 1.75 is the track to have.
Advice?

141 1.75 inch is probably best for you and keep your C & A skis... 137 is not enough to harness that power if you go in the soft stuff occasionnaly

Wish the 141 came with a 1.75...

How was the 2.25" track on the trail? I know they are awesome in the pow, but is it ok on packed trail? Did it kill top end?
How was the xtx on rough trails?
I wish you could spec the track you wanted when spring ordering! I agree on the 1.75". The cobra is actually a 1.5", but they measure to the end of the nubs to get 1.6".

The 2.25 was great on trail, yes the XTX is a bit rough I guess but I like the feel of it. The XTX 141 LE has the 2.25, $900 more and lower top end. My top end is 85 on viper

How did it run to 85 though? With that low gear ratio, does it accelerate harder than the other vipers? The SW xtx le is geared for 105, which unless your are running lakes all the time, is plenty of speed. If that 2.25" track doesn't rob to much top speed, it might be a real rocket.

With the power of the sidewinder I would think that the BTX SE would be what you want since you want the 1.75 track and the wider skis, but I understand the 153 seams long but in reality is like only 5 more inches on the ground compared to the 141 which with 200hp you should have no problem with top end

My first thought was BTX SE right away, not sure why I'm questioning myself now

Your first thought normally is the best choice
