I have a full season of riding on mine. No radar times as I got a hand injury at the end of last season just as I was preparing to spend a weekend tuning for radar runs.
No dissapointments in my book, took several 200mi day trips.
I would consider selling mine complete tho. Snowmobile building and repair is my buisness. Parts and sled are in transit for an '05 stage 2 build now.
I am in NY, send me a PM if you are interested

do any stage 2 guys think a properly set up sled could last 6000-7000 miles in a season without any mechanical failures, also is it recommened to do lo comp pistons for even greater safty, i dont want to drag, just have a 200 hp trail sled

For 200hp lo-comp pistons are not needed. and yes I see no reason that milage could not be reached. Once the tuning was finished, I had no real issues for the rest of the season.

the reason i mentioned lo comp pistons is that i figured i could run on stage 2 on premium fuel only, instaed of mixing, please correct me if im wrong

I ran 8lb. all winter on pump premium. If only lesser quality fuel was avail. just don't squeeze the throttle as much

You can run 8 #'s on pump premium all day with no problems.

Yep, 1800' is where I'm at. I've been higher and lower no change in the performance.

Powerhaulic, Bender guys: I guess I'm still hung up on 2 stroke tuning. My riding elevation is approx 1800-2900ft. Once I dial the turbo in, for say 2800ft, what happens when I ride at 1800ft and 25 degrees colder? That's a pretty large change when trying to get a 2 stroke spot on. Will I have to worry about needle location, jetting etc? The turbo I have ordered is a Bender Stage 2. I also ride the UP which I think is around 800-1000ft elevation. Thanks

I ride from under 5000 to over 8000 feet in elevation. You will not have problems.

I ride from 1000 to 8700 ft. The sled just doesn't care.
