WHO"S RUNNING ASPHALT THIS SEASON TURBOS.......

We are running with our RX1 powered dragster and I know of two Alpine turboed and nitroused sleds that will be running here in northern B.C. Both sleds should be easily capable of running in the 8's, and we are shooting at the 7's with the car. Should be a fun summer :-o .

Trying to get switched over to asphalt. Does anyone have a stock 136" rear suspension they want to get rid of. Needs to fit a 04 worrior. My goal for this year is to get in the low 8's if not 8 flat with a stock suspension (narrowed of coarse). I want to be as stock as possible. This last winter on ice my best was 154mph in 1000ft with a stock 15" wide track and stock suspension. If I can get to hook I should be in there.

besides the turbo upgrade and loosing the exhaust plus different seat because of the exhaust my sled is totally stock. I have all stock suspension, stock gas tank, I even have the tool box in it.

Rolo,

I have a stock 136 Warrior skid. If you're interested $350 plus shipping. It's in excellent condition.

asphalt

Got out for the first time. Hit my goal but need to do more work to the stock suspension to hit goal for next time. 60' times were 1.80s couldn't hook up I had to come out with engaugement really low (have ideas how to fix it). Ended up running 9.02 at 156mph. Next time out my goal will be 8.5 at 160mph (won't be bad for a stock chasis/suspension sled 650+ lbs). I am running a Simons CPR turbo and it isn't missing a Beat.[/img]

How much boost you running? What kind of clutching to get that mph?

Those are two questions I have to decline to answer. I try to be as helpfull as possible and don't want to feed you full of #*%% or give you wrong information that would lead you down the wrong path. Those settings are locked away in my little book and disclosing them would only hurt Jeff. I know first hand all the time he has spent at the track on his product testing and with me on my sled. I can't give all of his hard work away I am sure you understand.

Oh well, I don't really think that telling me 20lbs. of boost and maybe stock clutch with heavy hitters would be giving away any secrets, after all your bracket racing, a stock 440 could force it on the trailer after first round!!!!!!
Now if you told me what springs were in the primary/secondary, brand of clutches, specific weights and how many grams each washer was, what kind of machining and specs. on what mahining was done to the turbine along with details on what was done to the motor, then yes that may be giving away a little too much!!!!!!! Telling us you're running a Simons turbo doesn't mean that it's any faster than Powderlites, MCX or whoevers as they will all run abreast.
Good luck with your skid, but I would say that other than taking off the sliders and lowering it, there's not much more you can do to it leaving it as "stock" as possible.
Let us know how you make out with your ET's and Mph. or is that "top secret" too????

Clutching; I am running a Rollform 4 post primary and a stock yamaha secondary clutch.

Thanks, never heard of a Rollform, but I know a few guys run 4 post primary clutches. I take it that it’s more adjustable than a stock one. Do aftermarket clutches take the horsepower better than stock clutches or is it just the adjustablility?
