The 2008 to 2011 ECU part number is 8GL-8591A-00-00 and my 2014 Nytro part number is 8GL-8591A-20-00 and is only available from Japan. Can I use the older ECU in the 2014??? I heard a rumor that the part number change was because of the improved heated grips???

I would try it. It could be how the ECU handles the grips and warmers. I would think worst case they wont work and it throws a code.

Wasn't there another change regarding cold oil pressure, usually resulting in an oP message in the speedo on later years?
