AS we all know most Attak's will not get up and go when the snow is deep. We have 600SDI's going by like we are stopped.

What can be done to fix this? For those of you that tried a different track, will that cure the problem or are we just throwing money to Camoplast?
No bragging rights at the local camp when a little 600 ski doo does the deed on you?

I switched to a 1.25 Predator before I ever rode mine. Also replaced the stock ski's to Slydog Powderhounds. Both of these helped, but without changing the angle of attack of the track, not much can be done. I am currently preparing for the installation of a 136 Expert X setback to a 144. I believe this will be the best of both worlds for me.

attak

i really like my attak, i do mostly trail riding, but if i was going to do
much off trail riding i would buy a ski-doo even though hat would be tough
to do.

corba track

air wolf was that installed on a 121 rtx, I am in the process of switching mine as we speak, did you install the anti rachet driver did you see any top end loss, what kind and length of studs if any, thanks for any in put . Jeff

Huh good reading. I wonder since the "cup" between the lugs are only 1.25, if you could stud behind them with 1.4 studs and get some trail braking out of them. HMMMMM

I bought my Cobra due to the comment regarding side bight. It's supposed to have a lot less than the Ripsaw, but if what I found has anything to do with it, the difference is very slight there. The difference in forward traction though, really has to be experienced to be believed. This really is a great track - and we're not talking "slight " difference there. It's nothing if not huge.... and it work as well on hard pack as it does in the loose stuff. If you are considering trying to go withut studs, this is the track to have.

I think its the track for me, I don't run studs and find that the Ripsaw in loose stuff is not hooking up at all, it just spins for ever...I run strickly GROOMED trails and by the end of the day their pretty shopped up with loose to no snow...and this track seems to be the best of both worlds! :-o

I am running a 136"x1-1/4 preditor. I get around just fine in the powder.

I am also running 1-3/4 studs on it for BITE on the trail. I bend a few every year, but it sure hooks up!

It was installed on my Apex RTX with Doo anti ratchet drivers,

3-5 mph top end loss ,No studs,
Made huge difference when boondocking off trail, great traction in loose snow.I just ordered another Cobra for my Nytro
Now I have to go to the doo dealer to get my drivers

corba track

thanks Air wolf track sounds great didnt want to here about any speed loss, but it is what it is, cant change that. Going to give it a try thanks Jeff

I run the 136 x 15x1.25 Ripsaw and a ZX-2 136 in my turbo sled, it will go everywhere and further than the competitions crossover sleds, but maybe it because I'm turboed. The ZX-2 have far better attack angle over the Mono or the Proaction. My sled with the ZX-2 floats a lot higher in the deep snow than my friends RX-1 with a 136 mono and he has a 136x15x1.5 Ripsaw

Ski-doo's Renegade has a 136 in Ripsaw and it gets around in deeper snow just fine. So we Attak owners must have more of a problem other than the track. Some say its the attack angle of the suspenion? Set up?
Maybe its the weight? Sure would like to fix it instead of having to fork over $$ for a different suspension and still not be sure if it will cure the beast. I like the sled but would love a fix for this trenching.
Any more information from owners who have tried different things?
