Hi gents,
I'm considering a set of lightly used (4-5 rides) Simmons Gen II skis for my '06 Venture to give it more float when riding off trail. It currently has stock skis. The seller says he had them on an '08 Nytro. Is the mounting the same for both of these machines?

Also, he states that no hardware is included. I don't currently have access to my Venture to have a look, so I have no idea what I would have to buy or where to get it. Any ideas? Just basic stainless stuff from the hardware store? (I've never changed skis before, so sorry for the stupid question).

I've done a fair amount of research on what guys have done to improve the performance and handling of these Ventures (this site is great!), and I think the Simmons Gen II will suit my needs pretty well. Any last minute opinions before I complete the transaction? FYI, I ride mostly lakes, old logging roads, RR beds, and thru the woods type stuff. It's pretty rare that I do any high speed trail riding. Thanks for the input!!!

PS, I'm also considering the Yami mountain skis that other guys have had luck with. Either way, it looks to be about 300 bucks when it's all said and done for either new mountain skis plus carbides or the lightly used Simmons. Sound reasonable?
