Just curious if there is such a thing, something like a spray that can be applied to a snowmobile Jacket that will help stop the wind?
It was either this site or freedomsledder where I read about another peep who also said he was unhappy with the wind protection his FXR jacket provided.
I also have the same issue but originally thought I was over dressed and too cramped/stuffed inside my jacket but have since learned that is not the issue, it is the wind protection, or lack of that my FXR Floatex jacket provides.
My $60 Sears jacket that my wife bought me is far superior when it comes to wind protection than what my $300 dollar FXR jacket is
I recently purchased a 40th anniversary Yamaha Jacket so hopefully it is much better, but going by the thickness of it it has me concerned if it will be warm enough come this winter?

Yea, put a Klim sticker on it. Their stuff works.

The 40th jacket is not warm at all. Good for warm or mild days.

I have a fxr team jacket that is like 9 years old and the fxr model of the Yamaha jacket with the white and orange and in the 9 years of wearing them I have never been cold. And that's with the shortest windshield I can get on my rev or the nytro. Only if it is below 5 reg F will I put on some under armor. Other than that I where a t-shirt. I would say maybe try some under armor cold gear compression fit moc neck. You will be toasty.

Wondered that?
Hopefully it is more wind proof than my FXR jacket as I believe that is half the battle.

I guess it must be the model I purchased and the wind deflecting abilities of my 40th Anniversary windshield?
I have the FXR Floatex and it is only my upper arms and chest that get cold, the rest of me is toasty warm so I know it is the windproofing or lack there of of this suit.
I have thought of a bigger/taller windshield but I haven't seen one in the 40th paint scheme and to be honest, I don't like the looks of the tall windshield on these sleds.
I replaced the one on my XLT with a mid-height that came with side flares and it looks great on there and does the trick but I have yet to see a Yamaha or aftermarket shield that will do the same.
Just thought something must exist, like a water proofing spray for tents etc, that will help stop wind infiltration but I am coming up empty.
I am also having a hard time contacting FXR, their site is nackered as it doesn't let you contact them even though it says to do so!

If you have an issue with fxr stuff they can't help. They will direct you to a dealer, witch has never failed me yet. Contact upnorth sports of maybe bucks sports I think I is. Let me look it up and I will repost it. I had a glove come apart on me a few years ago and they replaced it no questions asked.

Ok. It's either sledit.com or thesnowmobilestore.com. I'm sorry to here about the floatex jacket. I sweat my butt off in my fxr stuff. It stinks to spend this kind of money on this stuff to not have it work out.

Buy a Klim under bodywear. I use it for those days when the temp drops blow 0°.

Wear a Tek Vest and it will stop the wind. My Team Jacket is fine in the wind but you still feel it pound against your body, but not with the vest on.

I currently wear a Tek Vest but it doesn't come all the way up to the bottom of my neck.
I am really perplexed by this as others I ride with, with different gear all say they are toasty warm, but my $500 plus FXR Floatex(suppose to be top of the line???) doesn't

Some of the headgear out there has windproof lining it it around the neck area. That should cover the above the Tek area. I think Klim makes some, might be a little pricey but if it works!
