Winterfest 2008, Manitowoc, WI. Fastest mph, and 1st place

Didn't even know it was going on, till I pulled into the gate and they charged me,... which I thought was to unload for trail, but then he said that winterfest was going on.

Unloaded the trailer, and went out on the trails. Came back and ran into berge75 and cannondale47. Asked if I was going to run the radar run, and told them no. The track was so beat up and was like a snowcross track on the starting line. Was egged on by a bunch of people, so I thought I would make a couple runs. Was told the highest mph was 78 mph thus so far. This was roughly 400ft of track with LOTS of snow.

Result is, no nitrous(because we were just going trail riding) on the Attak, and ran 77mph the 1st pass, and 79mph to take Fastest MPH, and 1st in 801 and up modified class. Could have entered 801 and up stock class, and taken 1st in that class also.

Ran the Nytro on the bottle, but horsepower didn't matter this day. Just trying to get down the track straight......

Nytro with stock everything on the bottle with 45 horse shot, was 75mph both times. Spun so bad, all that power just keep the track spinning.

Yamaha came out on top for both the radar runs, and the ovals for the day.

Doesn't look like I will be making it this weekend, as my sled is not ready. Could have had it ready, but had problems this weekend, and the sled hasn't seen ice yet.

Doesn't look like I will make any more rides this year, as the new job is really keeping me busy. Hope to start putting away extra cash for kids college funds.....better start now.

Not that I won't be riding, there i plenty of snow here now, and more on the way Thursday.
