what's the best way to wire my heated shield, led handguards, and my rider light. I see there's only two accessory plugs inside right side panel. I already bought one $20 heated shield plug wire to connect it and didn't want to buy another 2 of those to splice in what are my options thanks

I paln on running the ridelite to the cigarette socket with the adapter ridelite sells. But you could just go on ebay and get a cigarette adapter that is for cctv cameras. it's the same size barrel plug if I remember right. For the heated shield/ led's I would buy some cheap SAE cords off ebay, cut one in 1/2 and make my own splitter and heat shrink it together. cheap and I know it will have the right ends. The other option is to buy rocz smart supply.

I hardly ever use a full helmet so for me I would just d/c the leds and use the heated shield. But this year I am still up in the air of maybe buying rocz smart supply because I plan to have 4 switches for leds and a 5th switch to switch from 12v battery pack to sled power... Still trying to figure out how to mount them. I need my sled home grrr...

deleted because I messed up. see post below for correct info :(

Mind is blown lol what do you gain by using the smart supply I don't think I want to use the cigarette lighter socket for the ride lite but I do like those options you posted in the links I could get the bottom one and use one of the stock 2 pin connectors for the heated shield adapter which has a two pin on it as well then use the other stock 2 pin to run the y splitter with accessory plugs which I could wire the ridelite into and the led lights into with either an adapter or hard wire directly.
I can't wait to see what your doing with all these light accessories

I am editing this post to include info from the post I made above that I have removed because I had it messed up lol.
2 way splitter that shows the polarity in the pic.

If I don't go with rocz smart supply. I had already planed on using 2.1mm plugs for all the led's that I plan to run (blue, white, flashing amber, something else cool that I will show once done, and now the hand guards).
2.1mm plugs should be the correct size for the ride lite jumper location off of the lite if you choose to use a 2.1mm extension rather then adding on a 2.1mm plug to the end of what you currently have with your ride lite.

Are you sure there are 2 of those connectors down there? I know my viper only had 1. Maybe you are calling the dummy cap as the 2nd connector? It does have a ground wire on it for some odd reason... I was just going to post the 2.5mm pigtail that you could use but I just realized I even confused myself lol. I was thinking std. cctv connectors were 2.5mm and they are 2.1mm :( so they would not work w/that and a 2.5mm pigtail is insane @ like $6 each. So I deleted the info in my first post.

So in light of that I would do this if you only have 1 plug down there (like I think is the case).

1. Buy the SAE splitter above

AND

2a. Cut one of the ends off and wire on a 2.1mm connector (or any male/female connector you desire) and put the other end 2.1mm connector on the wire from your ridelite/leds and then you are plug n play. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-DC-Powe...able-Plug-CCTV-Camera-LED-Light-/351366180751 now you will either need to now use a 2.1mm splitter or you could have wired on 2 of the 2.1mm connectors so as to not need the splitter.

OR

2b. buy a SAE to 2.1mm connector (only look to be available from china http://www.ebay.com/itm/SAE-2-POLE-...5-5x2-1mm-Jack-connector-6-inch-/282101174354) , a 2way 2.1mm splitter and the corresponding male or female pigtales to wire to your ridelite/led's. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-DC-Powe...able-Plug-CCTV-Camera-LED-Light-/351366180751
-------------------------
If you have 2 plugs then I would just take a SAE to 2.1mm connector on it w/a 2.1mm splitter and then the male/female pigtales to the lights (but the sae to 2.1mm is only from china) other option is cut a cheap sae cord and splice on 2.1 connectors like in 2b.

There are 100000 ways this could be done. I am trying to keep it cheap as 2.1mm connectors are wicked cheap and much easier to d/c when you want to then sticking an SAE on everything. Hardwire is ok but not the best if you ever want to d/c anything..

But PLEASE ignore the 2.5mm stuff I posted before. I really meant 2.1mm. That's what happens when I try to do it from my phone lol:(

thanks ya your right i do only have one saw connector its weird that the cap has a ground lol. I did option one my helmet goes to a 2.1mm then to a sae which will go on one side of thishttp://www.ebay.com/itm/OptiMate-Cable-O-15-Y-Splitter-SAE-into-2-SAE-out-O-15-/222190834868
then i ordered this splitter http://www.ebay.com/itm/271759877611?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
and ordered 5 female and male 2.1mm ends because it was only a few more cents than 1http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-DC-Powe...able-Plug-CCTV-Camera-LED-Light-/351366180751 then finally ordered this loom

Don't forget before you plug the accessories into it, check the polarity with a meter to be 100% sure your +'s and -'s are where you want them. Don't want smoke your $$$ accessories.

DC on your meter is the setting that looks like:

(just in case you don't know)

I want to wire up a USB Charger for my phone, and was going to go to one of the Accessory Plugs. My conumdrum is drilling into the plastic on the dash.
What's the best way to do it? A hole saw or step bit?

Here are a bunch of different usb options http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...orcycle+usb.TRS0&_nkw=motorcycle+usb&_sacat=0
Though I do agree w/using rocz supply. I just wish his was a bit smaller. Not really a good place to mount that big thing. I will probably buy his supply for the usb port and maybe the heated shield. I'm not sure what I plan to do for that. I'm lucky if I use a heated shield once a season. SnoX helmets are just as warm and a ton lighter. Either rocz or off the connector by the chain case. Do you happen to know what version we need to order of the rocz supply?
