Sounds as though your starter relay may be goning bad. Also loose wire, loose battery terms can do this as well.

Does the fuel pump prime or not? If so it sound to me like the starter relay is frozen. How cold is it?

I have never had the relay problem but if you hear the priming and it dosent turn over i would take a look at the connections and pull the relay out to see if the connection are corroded. I read on here that if you take a hair dryer to put hot air in the battery area it should start right up. Not sure where the relay is located srry.
They was no tuning to be done at all. I just told Allen what sled i had and if there where any mods and he sent them. I installed in 30 mins and went riding. I think the only tuning that might be needed would be moving the secondary position.

Jump the relay.
I call it a starter solenoid.Thing by batt with 2 big red wires to it .Sounds like your issue. If no pump is heard then it would be the small relay down behind ECU.
