It is time to get the suspension serviced. For the price, is it worth it to send my shocks to Pioneer? Or pay half the amount and just get an oil change and charge here?
I need an honest opinion from the guys who have had their shocks done there.

A revalve/rebuild is usually the best money spent on a yammy. I had Pioneer do 4 sets of shocks for me over the years and Bruce is great to deal with. My nytro shock had a leak a year after he revalved them, called him and sent it to him. He fixed it and sent it back at no charge, AAA+++ in my book.

How are you guys having them revalved? Stiffer? Softer? There's 1000 different ways shocks can be valved, what are you asking for when you send in shocks to be revalved?

Im sure when you speak with the tech who is going to revalve your shocks he will ask all the right questions as to riding style, weight etc... so it will depend on those aspects for any specific valving. Just seems kind of $$$, but if it is night and day difference and the service is AAA++++ then I dont have a problem paying for it.

X2!!! Worth every penny. They'll help you get them done so they work the best for you and how you ride! Bruce is a great guy to work with, and they get them done pretty quick too!

A shock revalve is worth every penny. The only thing for me was shipping to the US was a but much. I got mine done by a local guy and we had talked about my riding style and what I like and disliked about the stock valving. Very happy with the outcome.
