Yamaha Nytro xtx 2010
This was my first nytro this year a brand new black 2010. The sled was already fun to ride in the stock form exept that in the bumps and mogull it was inferior at my previous 2007 phazer fx.

I did some modds that peaple talk about here:
-roest plate 10/10
-ip vent (mountaintech) 10/10
-oft relocator 10/10
-star suspension full kit ( shock revalving, 1 inches front drop...) 10/10
-sled stard hid 10/10
-yamaha roll over jacob switch+ techter swicht 9/10 ( I think the jacobson one might be beter convinient.
-yamaha competition foot step renforcement like on the race sled 10/10
-my old 4000 km bergstromskegs triple point 8 inches 10/10

these modds are like having a new sled the nytro ride is incredeble I enjoy it a lot, engine is awesome, handling is very good and predictable, no darting, I can run into the bumps and mogul almost at full speed, good turning ability.

the downside hapens when you get stuck in powder (very easy to do! ) the ripsaw 1,25 inches is probably not a offtrail choice! The stock narow skis are not helping either, but the weight of this anvil...ouch what a workout!

My project is to remove weight I have already brought some product.

-full hindle exeaust, came with rb3 maped for a nytro xtx, the airbox mod, the setuped clutch weight.
-S&B tunel close plate (would have prefer the oft, but it was with the exeaust)
-Gforce division nytrocharger, updated version ( at $750 brand new it was hard not to give it a try) these are at $750 for a couple of week more I think you must call them the promotion is not advertised on their website, the kitt is still advertised at $1795.

hindle rmove about 15 lbs from stock I think
nytro charger add about 3

my idea is to buy 4130 chromoly tubes that would be a litle more thin than the stock tube on the frame, but not to the minimum possible value, I would like to give it a litle more strengh than the stock, cromoly is 1/3 les heavy than stell, but for adding strenght put some gusset at the right place so stock sub frame is 80 lbs minus 1/3 would be about 27 lbs.

lets say that I would remove 22 pouds

I would like to also do the same with the four suspension arms in the front, I do not know how much the stock one weight?

with the star suspension kitt the back of the rear suspendion, the two parallel pipes that slide one in another are bypass by the kitt, so I could put 2 tubes of 4130 there to remove some weight I do not know how they weight.

A Li ion batery, this is suposed to remove about 10 to 12 pounds

I wonder for the front and rear bumper: 4130 or alluminium?

I would like your sugestion to other ideas to remove more weight, what else could I look to replicate with 4130 cromoly? Also what parts could be swap safely with alluminium replica? I will be able to do the frame, a- arms and other easy to do things like that.

Also some aftermarket replacement parts that would be worth buying?

I think I might be in the 50-60 pounds weight loss with these idea ( theorical)

I wonder if 100 pounds would be achiveble? I am on a diet and trying to lose about 30-35 pounds, but I do not want to count my weight in the project, it'l be a bonus :sled1:

Has anybody tried the Gforce? There's a few threads on this but all theoretical, no one actually comments on how well they actually work?

Don't forget to take the balance shaft out of the engine. That thing is a couple pounds of rotating weight spinning at twice the engine rpm.

but the balanced shaft is not nescessary in the engine? I am affraid in going that far in modds but if it doeas not endanger the engine maybe it coulb be worth it
