Looking for a new set of skis for my 2up and have been considering the Slydog Powderhounds or the SLP Powder pros. What should I do? Would the Yamaha Saddleless Mountain Ski Bottoms fit in place of my saddle type stock plastic skis using the stock handles and wear bars? Is that even a good idea? Hope you can help, I'm lost when it comes to off trail riding which I want to do more of.

Thanks

I did the Yamaha Mountains Ski upgrade on my '04 RX. It was a significant improvement and very cost effective. I rode it that way for the last two years.

However, this year I put a set of Simmons Gen I Flexi-skis on and I think they are a lot better than the Yamaha Ski. They absorb bumps on the trail better, they float better, and they are more predictable in deep snow. The only down side that I can see is cost.

The skis of the Work sled fit right on there -- cheap and work well --- best ever ski for reverse on a 2 up sled also.

The mountain bottoms will work with your handles and wear bars. When you get the bottoms, you just need to order the bolts and spacers to go along with them. Best stock ski money can buy.
