WTF??? Changed the oil, now the sled won't run...

you have figured out the problem, no power to the fuel pump. something you did, moving wires etc. allowed the power to flow. not knowing exactly where or why is the problem now. there was a post on this site a while back about taking apart the wiring harness and finding multiple ground wires coming from different areas and some having corrosion. this might be your problem. do a search in the apex forum about this topic. for now, if your still riding, i would run 2 wires direct from the battery, pos and neg to the pump. wire them in to run the pump using bullet connectors but leave them unplugged till you need them. this will get you home at least.

I changed the oil in my Vector and my sled wouldn't start. The main wiring connector next to the battery was corroded. It probably lost connection when I had the battery out at the same time for maintenance.

I always spray my connectors with WD40 to prevent corrosion. It is amazing stuff for that purpose. Yes it an collect dust or dirt but inside our machines don't get like that. Still keeping it lubed with WD will keep the connections clean.

Thanks for all the help guys. Im not sure if we'll get any more riding or not. We still have tons of snow pack in the woods but the roads and parking lots are bare and its been warm all week, will be raining and warm today and tomorrow so if there is still snow this weekend I'll try and get out to put on a few miles. Thanks for the idea grader, I think I'll run the wires and leave them hanging by the battery incase I get into trouble in the woods... I tried to wiggle everything and I can't get the pump to stop working now... Nothings worse than electrical problems.
