WTF! Yamaha Teases New Sports Car Concept Ahead of Tokyo

I laughed. I was just pointing out that Yamaha Motors is a small part of Yamaha corporate and that Powersports is less than 10% of Yamaha Motorsports sales. Perspective for those who are wondering why all the resources are not being channeled to a new made in Japan so must be better Apex replacement.

I am new to Yamaha but if they could have built a great chassis they would have. They didn't. They did however find someone who did and made a deal that's beneficial to both companies.

A little over 1600 pounds ready to drive.

X2 that would be my best selling model if they built it

I'd put a deposit on one right now if it was available! I'd love to see that fz-07 engine platform in a Phazer style chassis, not the Phazer obviously, but a light weight, striped down fun sled. I just picture the viper being 6" narrower and a foot shorter in length and think how much fun that'd be if it rode and handled as awesome as the viper does

Studroes did you ride a Axis 120"?

Only Phazer I've been on was a 2011 rtx that I owned for a few months, sold it cuz it was a smokin deal and I turned a $1500 profit. I didn't really have any complaint on the sled, it was fun, torquey and rode good, but the fact that it's almost a 10 yr old platform, it's time for a new cheap affordable sled.

Axis is a Polaris! Motor did not impress me but it felt so light and small. Long for a 800 2st in a Phazer chassis!

Never been on a short track Polaris pro, ridden a switchback pro r tho and I know exactly what you mean by the lightweight feeling, super fun sled. That was a 2013 so the old 800 engine, not impressed at all, my viper all stock with clutching would beat the Polaris 800 every time, 0-80 it viper was enough quicker that from 80-100 the poo just couldn't catch it.

Its not Viper related at all... it should have been posted in the General Yamaha... its more General then it is Viper.
