Xf7000 dyno results

D&D powersports Facebook page has a vid and dyno results on an out of the box xf7000. I'm sure someone here can post the link.
129 with 5 heat cycles. Not bad actually.

Interesting how much you got out of the old exhaust and setup. A bone stock Nytro on Dynotech got 135.1 with zero miles and another got 141.8 at zero miles. So when I told you guys a 5+HP drop off I was right LOL. Still will be a more balanced sled then the Nytro, and with some of the new rumored adders out there they talking about 15-20 more HP without boost. So that could be pretty darn respectable for a front dump exhaust sled having 147HP when done.

You cannot compare dyno results unless you test them back to back on the same dyno and even then there can still be variations.

Every Dyno reads differently from one another and that's not even taking into consideration atmospheric differences at testing sites ... temp/elevation/humidity/etc.

does cat and Yamaha share ecu programs or are the two machines tuned differentially? I would like to see a viper run up by d&d to compair

last i heard is both ecu's are tuned by cat.

and don't forget they're re-flashable ... so some tuning is possible.

We'll have to watch this one. They updated there Facebook posting on this at about 5:00pm Friday and said that with a bit more break in time they were now seeing 132 hp. I'm thinking fully broken in, these should easily equal Nytros 138.

Dynotech put a new Nytro on the dyno last year and it put out 129 there also. I'm not sure that the motor will be down on power at all in this chassis.

They have it up to 132 now with more runs completed. This is fairly common to see with a new four stroke engine, they start making more power as they get broke in. The Yammy triple is built to fairly tight specifications (which is a good thing) and it takes a little bit of time, for them to achieve maxium power output.
On my Nytro I had to add a small amount of additional weight to primary clutch after about a 1000 miles, to keep it from over-reving. ;)!

This is with one of D & D's aftermarket Quiet Can mufflers. Looks like this simple add on is worth about 6 HP alone. Also not too loud. Maybe worth the investment.

And that is before break in on the motor
