I have a 2009 Nytro XTX with the 1.75 Backcountry track. I typically ride around 7000'. I went through 3 belts in 285 miles. I discovered the dealer did not set it up for elevation (gearing and clutching). I have sinced changed the gearing to 18/39 and the clutch to 6 - 8500 specs. It works very well down the trail. It does NOT work well in the deep snow. It does not hold RPM in deep snow or on a steep grade at all. I have thought about setting it up to MTX clutch specs, but don't want to sacrifice the way it works down the trail. Anybody know of any good setups for deep snow on the XTX? I would prefer to use factory parts.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

I have posted this a zillion times.
Do you want trail or deep snow performance?
Can,t have both. Pick one or compromise.
