XTX front rebound adjustment

Hi guys,
I've got a brand new 09' XTX with no miles on it. Ive got a problem with the front rebound adjustment on both sides.

When trying to go from the clockwise stop setting it will only turn out 6 clicks and stop/tighten up on both sides. I'm pretty sure there should be 20 on the GYTR Clickers.

Is this something that will loosen up with break in or do i have a problem? A buddy of mine has an Attack with the same shocks and his rebound is tight all the way throught.

Any Thoughts?

Does anyone know the inner working of this shock?

What would happen if i were to supported the front end and unscrew the needle completely?

Sometimes they are really hard to turn. Mine did the same this year so I kept twisting and they loosened up.
