A question for you pros on here. A week ago my XTX developed a rough idle. Normal idle is 1500ish(give or take) and it fluctuated between 1100-1500rpm and has a sputter or a miss. I did the TORS test & got the code 84 so I adjusted the throttle cable. It was booked in the next day @ the dealer for the first service so I got him to check the throttle adjustments I did. He said everything was good & that he checked for bulletins from Yamaha & said there was nothing. He took it for a couple of test runs & said everything was good & that it maintained a consistant idle. Got it home & all seemed fine. Went riding today & was good for about the first 30 miles & then the rough idle was back. The RPM's didn't really fluctuate today but it still had a miss or maybe better described a bit of a stutter. No codes @ all and @ all times the performance is 100% when on the throttle @ all ranges except for idle. After we got out of the coffee shop today it didn't turn over @ all on first key cycle but cycled again about 2-3 seconds later & away she went! Could TORS still be causing this? Even the rough idle or the fuel pump relay? Anyone else have something like this? Like I said, once I'm on the throttle it's 100% performance!

my 09 nytro rtx does the same thing, after i run for about 40 miles and it warms up good. When i stop it seems to have a stumble in the idle.

Going to pick up two starter relays tomorrow from my local dealer. They figured that was definitely my starting issue so I'll put a new one in and keep a spare with me. Will see if this has any effect on my idling issue. Any insight from anyone would be appreciated. I know there is a lot of intelligent people on here! Maybe I should get a fuel pump relay too and replace that if it doesn't do anything for my idle issue. One wouldn't think a starter relay would help but who knows, try one thing at a time I guess.

Talked to my local dealer today & we discussed adjusting the CO levels to help with the idle. Read a couple of posts on hear about it after searching again. Anyone done this with success. Feedback is appreciated!
