hello, I got a 2010 RTX SE that I want to extend... I looked but can't find anything on this Idea about a XTX skid bolting up to a RTX skid, without any modifications, just bolt up and go.... Anyone know if this will work, and if I only need the 144 rails, and track?

I'm sure you can make it work with a bit of trial and error
I'm in the process of changing my XTX skid suspension from XTX to 2011 Nytro MTX SE. Should knock around 25 pounds off the skid and get rid of the sag issue. Will post the process this fall when I perform the mod

it's easiest to swap the entire skid. I've wanted to swap my XTX skid with a RTX skid. All you have to do is change the rear mounting brackets. The RTX uses the first and second holes and the XTX uses the second and third hole. Then its just swapping the tunnel extension, tail light wire cover, and the tail light so you have the longer wire. Unless you leave it under the exhaust like it is now.

I'm sure the entire skid swap is easier but I didn't want to make my XTX any longer than the original 144" so I needed to add the MTX SE components to my existing rails. should by fairly straight forward as the XTX suspension is very close to the MTX. I wanted to upgrade to the MTX SE components because this design is a bunch lighter than any other factory Nytro skid suspension, has lighter arms, gets rid of the torsion spring and uses Fox shox. About 25 pounds less weight. I found a used skid here in the classifieds for $500. much less expensive than other skid upgrades and its still all factory Yamaha.
