Getting ready to pull skid on xtx and was wondering if anyone had already pulled theirs and had any tricks to it. Not sure What is the best way to relieve the pressure of the suspension.
Thanks,
Kirk

the xtx is like most sleds, you shouldn't have any issues, I remove them both ways, tip on side or just jack the rear end up (hoist, etc) after the bolts are out, I prefer to have the rear up, in most cases. either way it should take 5 -10mins at most to remove. i have lots of little tricks for install or removal, but I do it for a living so it's no brainer work for me.

Take the tension off the rear springs. Makes life so much easier.

yep, also when installing, get the front lined up, put a punch or some thing ( screw driver will work to) on one side to hold up front of skid, go to other side and install the bolt then, removed punch or whatever and install bolt, relieve the tension from the torsion springs and install bolts, This works when you only have yourself. Also an electric hoist does wonders lining up the rear bolts,

Thanks Guy's I am a previous doo rider and have had the skid out of the SDI several times. It was easy to remove & install with only myself doing it. I was curious how easy or difficult it was for these to come out and go back in. Looking forward to my 1st new Yammie this year!
