Has anyone put a 1.5 or 1.75 cobra track on? I an considering this change at the end of this year. My buddy got a new Arctic Cat 800 and I can't accelerate with him. His sled has more power and I spin. Same with my other friends ski doo back country 800. I am planing on the PCV and air box but I have to get the power down on the ground. top end, no worries there.

I've also been running the 1.5" lug x 144" Camoplast Crossover track on my Apex and love the hookup with this track. I do a lot of riding on the same trails that you ride on yooper1, in fact I'm writing this while we're riding in your backyard this week. With the warm up that started yesterday I was spinning the track a lot less in the loose snow conditions. I would be concerned with hyfax wear with a 1.75" lug track but maybe with some ice scratchers and DuPont hyfax it might not be bad.

Ill second this track. Put one on my Attak this year and it does everything WAY better than the 136" Ripsaw

I've got DuPonts on mine with the 1.75". Had my skid out today and slider wear looks normal. Hook up is awesome with this track!

Have a 2" challenger cut to 1,7". Very stiff, very nice. Had a 1,75" back country before but I destroyed that.

I went to the back country 1.75 this season on my xtx and love it, so much more traction excellent on trail. Especially on the loose snow!!!!!!!!!!! I run the excell wheels and duponts no wear at all.
I just went with the 1.3" cobra as I didn't want to harm top end too much, and even that was a night and day difference over the stock ripsaw. Talking 4-5 sled length difference in 660 on loose snow, it was huge. The ripsaw felt like it would spin for days...

Have you had any clearance issues with the 1.75" lug on the Apex?

No clearance issues with 1.75" as long as you take out tunnel protectors
