I just recieved a Y.E.S warranty card registration form in the mail reminding me that I have until Dec 12th to get the 4 year warranty for $870. Talked to my dealer today and he said that he could sell it for $780. I am Just wondering if you guys have bought it and if you think it is worth it? I have 1300 miles on my 06 GT with no problems other then the handwarmers which were updated today  but for $140 :o| Thanks in advance.

I got one for my GT.. Got it from PORTYAMAHA.COM for $499 for 4 years..

IF the motor ever goes it will more than pay for itself..

Same as welterracer...I got it from Port Yamaha as well. I talked to Kevin...he was great to deal with not only for the warranty but also helped me out with all my questions/concerns on parts I was buying from him as well.

The way I think of the warranty is even if I never use it...it gives me peace of mind knowing I have it. I think its a selling point as well if you decide to sell the Apex before the warranty is up.

I just signed up a month ago too...but the regular price is only $798 I think...wonder why your papers in the mail stated $870???

...and once again, if the sled was sold in Canada it doesn't qualify for any such extended warranty.
Sucks to be Canadian....

edit...I see some Canadians are able to buy an extended warranty...is this Yammy warranty or from a warranty company?

as I side note..I thought the extra $5000 I paid CDN for my sled compared the US guys that I got an extened warranty??!! I guess I got something else extended! :moon:

question for Port Yamaha YES......

if purchased online, from out of state, does $499 cover it in total?....in other words,no TAX?

thanks

Dan,you will have to let me know how the 13mm sway bar works out for you this year. I need a good report on how it helps the handling from another person that rides groomed trails. I see did a few updates over the summer, let me know how it works out and I will let you know what I have done and we can compare notes.

Can remeber if I paid the tax or not, but it sure is cheaper than the CDN one and he is the cheapest out of all American dealers that I have found. My U.S. dealer wanted 780.00 U.S, so I bought it off Kevin.

Hey bud...

actually Im in process of doing most this stuff now...been a crazy busy fall for me and Im finally getting a chance to think about sledding again....I spent too much cash on my 70 inch JVC bigscreen so the TURBO is now out of the question for this season..LOL...

So i figured id do some minor things to the RTX for this season.

I'll keep the forums posted for sure on all the things Im trying....I think for my groomed trails the 13mm will simply be awesome for hi speed cornering flatness..cant wait!

and ofcourse once the lakes get good, and we get our track plowed off..ill be posting which weekends we will be out with the gun!...love to see some bigger numbers this year....and matts got his turbo monster too,so its gonna be a fun season!

My dealer here in WNY will do 499 also, but i think i would pay tax ontop of that since its local...I know when you buy things out of state for us americans we pay no tax...so iM WONDERING if i can save about 40 bucks or so?..lol...el cheapo!

anyone know who bought a port YES if they charge tax?

thanks

My sled is from the U.S., so I was able to purchase the 4-year Y.E.S. I do have to take it to the U.S. for warranty work though, but it's not even an hour drive, and the closest Yammy dealer in Ontario I'd think of going to is 45-minutes, so not a big deal.
