i am storing my sleds (permanantly) starting next week at my bros property in this area. just wondering if anyone knows of a (yamaha snowmobile) mechanic in that area that they really like. i had one experince with Aves Motors (HURLEY) and it wasn't a good one. maybe it was a fluke? i don't know, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
the other reason is, i am about to buy the clutch kit, header, and airbox mods from Ulmer and i have no warm place to do it so i was going to pay someone up there to install it all. just looking for someone i can be confident in.
thanks,
peter

I believe the dealer in Hurley changed owners last spring. I think they're now owned by the same people who have Meyers in Ishpeming. I know they had a big closeout sale in the spring. I would call them first to verify that.

Aves in Hurley treated me great a couple years ago when I was in a bind with a bad secondary sheave. Can't speak for them if they changed hands.

I was at yamaha dealer in hurley last year and they went outa there way to help out even after hrs last year its on hwy 2 also small car lot hope there still there. If this was my ski-doo triple i would give ya my # and tell ya if you need anything for it call because it seems like i take alot of spare parts up for my mach (don't leave home with out extra pistons)

you know that could very well be true, they may be great, but as i said before the ONE time i went in there they left a really bad taste in my mouth. no matter....they have now moved to Ashland. there is no Yamaha Dealer nearby anymore :o|

Well it's Pat's in Greenland,MI or Trackside in Eagle River,WI. Pat's is great & Trackside is new to Yamaha. I travel 75 miles to Pat's for service until Trackside can prove they know what they are doing. For what you want to do Pat's is best. You will be happy with Pat's.
