2007 Yamaha Apex Attak
Hey Guys!

I just picked up a 2007 Yamaha Apex Attak. This is my first time owning a 4-stroke sled and I am loving it so far.

A question I have is this switch on the lower left side of my dash which I was told is the Yamaheaters. The led lights up green sometimes, sometimes flashes between red and green, and sometimes is just off. I can't seem to figure out what switching it up and down means. The warmers also don't get very hot. They are on but not that hot.

I did some research and see that these sleds typically need the Yamaheaters to wake up from how they come from the factory. Do you think maybe the wiring is messed up? And how should this switch be operating?

Thank you in advance!

Turn the idle up a tad, then tun the hand warmer all the way down to zero and the LED should be red. At that point let it idle for about 10 min and they should get so hot you can barley hold them with a bear hand/ If its not red or warm then you have an issue with the box and need to contact Rockmeister at 260-710-7623, you can try and call texting may get him to call you faster.

He's right, the first generation Yamaheaters had the override switch. And the boost function turned on when you ran the factory controls to zero during engine warm up. The switch allowed you to over ride the yamaheaters on warm days when you would turn the factory controls to zero.

Great product on my previous 2007 GT.

Good luck!

Enjoy your awesome new Apex. Welcome.
