Yamaha started racing again in Finland this winter. They are participating in P600 class with Phazer RTX.
P600 class sleds are mostly stock and max. 600cc fan engines (except Phazer)

Today was the first race of the season and Jani Anttila took the win on P600 class with Phazer!

Awesome! The Phazer is also allowed to run in that class of sleds here in snowcross, but have not seen any out there.

Those shocks look good! Why does it run against lower horse powered sleds in the fan cooled class?

X2
aren't fan cooled 500 / 600 only 55 to 65 hp stock ... phazer should stomp all over those

Those Totaltek shocks really are some serious stuff. I think they are pretty much the same than WP shocks.
I don't know why Phazer is racing in that class. It wouldn't stand a chance in the bigger class, which is liquid
cooled 600's. In that class Nytro is allowed, but I don't know if anyone is riding it.

But hey, Phazer has more hp than fan cooled competitors but still it has the smallest engine.
And please don't forget that Yamahas are so heavy, even Phazer must be AT LEAST 200 lbs heavier than the others ;):D

EDIT: There isn't a suitable class for Phazer in Finland, this is the only one. As I said, it wouldn't have a chance to compete against liquid cooled 600's.
The winner of all classes did the course in 11 minutes 23 seconds with Lynx RE 600 and Phazer did it in 12 minutes and 32 seconds.

Here in the USA the USXC cross country circuit has the 85 horse power class. I believe it was created years ago specifically for the Phazer? Arctic Cat then released the Sno-Pro 500 with an old, 500cc 2-stroke motor and it was very competitive and shortly after Yamaha quit supporting XC racing. They just got back into it last season with modified Nytros that can't run in the stock classes because they are not stock, consumer sleds.

I didn't realize that WP built sled shocks. I like where they position their clickers.

Yep!
Phazer wins Day 2 also with margin of 15s!
Some video from Day 1, so you get the idea.

Wonder if that is another hint of things to come in 2014?
I ran W/P on my KTM when I Moto-crossed and they are awesome shocks!!

Great pics by the way, thanks for sharing. ;)!
