YAMAHA CANADA PRICE INCREASE - JAN 1/09

I think they are just trying to reflect the currect dollar again, which is wrong, because I believe it will change again.. I'm confident our dollar will climb again since the U.S. greenback does not have much behind it. We'll watch this one and see... Talking to a few of my friends/ finacial advisors in Toronto and they are all saying the same thing... The Canadian dollar will get stronger again... It's only down because of the market trying to find the bottom...

i work in a ag dealer in saskatchewan and this price increase b.s. is happening everywhere it shouldnt. We had our prices raise over 30000.00 on some equipment. input costs are threw the roof and grain prices tumbled. So now i wont sell sh*t and my toys cost me more. :o| Plus there are no reasons besides the u.s. dollar. i think some peaple are getting greedy.

Nothing new here, the question I pose to all manufactuers is how long do you think that the consumer will continue to pay these unjustifiable price increases :o| .Sooner than later you will price your product out of reach for most and you will be in a worse situation then your're in now :drink: .Don't be greedy it will take some time before you see profits like you have in the past 5 years ;)! ,and upping the price of your product in times like these to hopefully make profits close to the last 5 years is a bad buisness strategy ;):D .Don't listen to me go ahead price yourself's out of the market and find out for yourself's the hard way. :-o

P.S. Can I get a Bailout! ;):D

I tend to agree with the above statement. I know it is the top of the line sled but, $16500 MSRP for an Apex LTX GT is out of this world IMO. Especially for something that you can use 10 weekends of the year at the most.

Get all my parts from South Seattle Sports Plaza. The regular price is 2/3 the cost at my dealer and then they discount another 30%. Even with postage and exchange I still save hundreds. I've saved over $5000 in parts alone the last 2 seasons thanks to SSSP. :tg: I don't even mind that my POS Attak breaks every weekend because I save so much on parts. :o|

The OEM's are stupid. They keep raising prices and every year they sell fewer sleds. It is a vicious cycle. Sooner or later they will need to wise up and quit coming out with new, problem ridden chassis every couple of years and just improve what they already have. They are currently selling as many sleds as they were in the early 90's and think about how few choices we had back then. At least they kept a chassis around long enough to work the bugs out.

Just wait till next fall and see the deals on their old inventory. They wont be selling much this year.

As consumers we can only make a dollar go so far, :o| and in these times it's even harder to do :drink: .You can only whip a horse for so long before it kicks back ;):D .Why not for 1 year give the consumer a break with a price decrease, no increase or more warranty with your purchase ;)! ,the way I look at it is if they can build a motorcycle with the tech that it has for $15,000 and no issues with handling suspension etc why can they not do the same with the snowmobile :jump: .This is not a motor vehicle it's a recreational vehicle and should in no way cost more than some cars  .And as consumers we need to fight back and voice our disgust :die , if we continue to purchase there products at the inflated pricing they will continue to raise pricing and walk all over the consumer.Just remember the consumer has the power if we don't buy they don't eat.So I suggest to all manufactuers"TREAD LIGHTLY",or you might just find yourself in the soup kitchen line up with the rest of the GREEDIES!

Just noticed the HUGE price increase on YAMIs web site. This is unbelieveable! I was considering trading next year depending on what comes out for 2010 but now???
