YAMAHA ELECTRIC FACE SHIELDS

They stopped making sno-force 4 shields period. Try searching e-bay. That's how I found a regular 4. Took a while tho.... Found 1 and 2s all day long.....

SNO FORCE 4 SHIELDS

I JUST BOUGHT 2 OF THEM FROM BIG MOOSE YAMAHA IN NY. AT LEAST NOW I HAVE A COUPLE FOR THE NEXT SEASONS. I LIKE THIS HELMET BETTER THAN SOME MORE $$$ ONES. IT SEEMS TO FIT WELL AND IS QUIET.

My dealer had the Sno Force IV electric shields on clearance for about half price so I bought three since they are no longer manufactured. I may go back and buy another one if he still has any left.

I love my helmet and do not want to have to replace it but the shield hinge mechanism is a poor design. The plastic tab on the shield always breaks allowing the shield to pop off the hinge.

The electrics have never failed. I usually go through one shield a season because of the cheap hinge retaining design.

Wouldn't you know it, right after I posted my above post on Saturday I went riding and stopped at a bar for lunch. I hung my Sno Force IV helmet with a new electric sheild on a wall hook and then someone must have bumped it and knocked it off of the hook as I heard a loud noise and looked to see it on the floor with a cracked sheild.

Time to install one of my extra electric sheilds that I recently bought on clearance and head back to my dealer to buy the rest of his inventory if he has any left! I knew I should have bought all of his inventory when I was there last time! When I can no longer find replacement sheilds the helmet becomes worthless!
