Yamaha Nytro Straight Pipe

i wouldn't advise to run straight piped, too loud and you would loose the velocity in the exhaust, unless you are going to tune your pipe length and diameter you will loose power, when i had my pipe off i started the sled and it responded fine.
When someone was talking about scavenging you would really loose the "tune" of the exhaust. this meaning you would not catch the pulses in the exhaust stream and air would be sitting in the exhaust and not leaving this is why you would have to play with length and diameter to maintain velocity. I'm sure after a lot of changes you could get it to run fine but you would have more money in pipes and time than getting a good slip on or doing the car muffler.

It would definitely be loud, however I don't think it would give any issues as long as you had a power commander with a MAP for a full exhaust. I have a full MBRP system on my sled, and you can see right through it, might as well be a straight pipe.

Wont cost much to try out, if it runs like crap you'll know it doesn't work.

Cant be any worse than riding a sled with the donuts burned completely out, and ive come across numerous sleds with the donuts completely gone, and no issues

I don't understand why loud is better? With trails closing from noise pollution we need to respect the landowners and the other people who don't ride. There are way more people who don't ride and hate the noise of stock sleds already so why give them more reason to complain? I have a Skinz Ultra Q and it sounds great while still maintaining close to stock sound db"s. If all you ride are mountains then by all means make it as loud as you want. We need to draw good attention to our sport not bad attention.:sled1:
