I brought my sled up to Fort Kent and we have not had any rideable snow but this storm is just what the doctor ordered so I will be picking up my sled Thursday I’m gonna ride for four days .I will get some pictures for sure
I don’t have any miles on it yet I brought my sled up in October and put the power block clutch on but I haven’t had a chance to ride it .we haven’t had any rideable snow until this storm.Hey man it’s good to hear from you I hope everything is good for you
Hi Vic, thanks for info brother.
These clutch issues always concern me and the PB80 always seemed to be a great option for its simplicity and cost, loved mine on my 1200.
Do you know if yours is the dual spring design? Where did you buy it from? I don't think you can see the springs without removing spring cup, but if you do take some pics. I'm sure you will likely be opening up the outer cover and adding/removing discs to get your RPMs correct.
Keep us posted!

Dan are you getting another sidewinder?
The newer Super spool tunes hit way harder down low.

After many yrs of either owning a light flickable 2smoker for around my tight trails, and wanting more power for Qc super highways....I have always felt I really needed to own 2 sleds for the best of both worlds. So im finally aiming to do just that.
Keeping an eye on the 998 hoping cat/yam come out with some new changes for '22. Not holding my breath though.
Definitely would get a tune, likely just a stock muffler tune this time round....Eyeing up the GAP Copi-trail setup which I have always wanted.
Seems both Cat and Yam have shown issues with their primaries after some miles, so Im happy to see some solutions that aren't huge dollar. TAPP certainly would be my choice if wallet was thicker...lol

The only thing I can say is MAYBE I didn't have the bolt tight enough. I made multiple bolt changes early in the tuning process and if the bolt wasn't completely tight it might have been taking more pressure from the roller than it was supposed to. I have @5000 miles on the clutch and probably @ 3500? miles on the bolt that broke.

That seems to be a very aggressive profile. Much more aggressive than most of the weights people are using on these Winders You think that is why you can run such a light weight?Took the slight ridges out of these. Ready for another 10k miles. Heavy hitters thunder products. Great weights. Good metal used on these.

Yea for sure. The big helix angle for sure contributes to way less weight. They are a aggressive weight. Takes some patients and testing but when you get them right they do hit hard. The STM weights are very aggressive also. Not quite as much but close. Yea most are running a flatter profile for sure. That seems to be a very aggressive profile. Much more aggressive than most of the weights people are using on these Winders You think that is why you can run such a light weight?

The stock mtn nytro weights have the exact same profile as my Heavy hitters.
