Which weight of origin Yamaha have the closer curve of the weights Dalton Pro DPYR ?
89A-10 ?
8DN-00,10,20 ?
8BU-10
8GL
I want to change the original 8FP-00 and I don't know which yamaha weight to choose? I can make some tests with rivets.
I have a Y-W-Y spring in my primary, and a pink or a white at maybe 60 or 70 deg, with a 57/43 Bender Helix in the secondary.
I have a Predator 1" with 108 1,187" studs.
your suggestions please...for my Attak 2006!

i think the 8dn-20 is the closest profile to the dpyr daltons, with the dpy profile being even more aggressive. i used 6 mill bolts and nuts as rivets are too lite. the 8dn 20 is only 44.25 grams empty, and i loaded them to about 58 grams. i would suggest the 62 gram dpyr for your sled. i have a 136 05 rx1 running these weights, and with the holes you can add weight as needed.

i was running stock weights most of this year with the o-s-o primary and a silver secondary spring at 70 degrees. after trying the new -01 yamaha belt i lost about 300-400 rpm up top. set up now with 62 gram dalton dpyr empty, o-s-o primary spring, dalton red secondary spring at 70 degrees with stock helix. last trip out seen 116 mph on guage, with the 10 tooth drivers this is very close to radar accurate. rpm is up to about 10700, but it seems to pull harder the more you wind it.
