Hello all! I have a 2012 nytro xtx and have done a few mods to it mainly for trail riding. I do hear and see a lot of comments regarding the poor performance of the stock handwarmers. I am wondering if this problem was resolved by 2012 or if it was still an issue. My warmers seemed to work fine and there were a few times where my hands got cold, but we rode a lot this last year in below 0 degree F temps. Last year was the first time in a long time I had a new sled, so i'm just looking for some input. Thanks in advance for any help!

I added one to my 13 XTX this year. I had to head home last year a couple of times because my hands were too cold. The first time you turn the yamaheater on you will see what all the talk is about. Holly crap they are hot!

I have a 2012 XTX personally the best hand warmers of any machine I have owned Doo,Cat. I have lousy circulation in my hands so I need good hand warmers. I found that with the elephant ears attached to my hand guards I typically have warmers on with 3-4 bars at 20 Deg F at -10-0 Deg F all bars on both. I have never been able to ride in temps below 20 before so I think the 2012 has really good heaters. Trick is to keep your core warm and your hands won't suffer. Turn down heaters before your hands sweat.

My bars are filled with foam insulation, and my hands are always pretty warm. Cheap to try first and see if it works for you. I have good gloves as well.

I have rsi on my mtx 2012 and it very bad heat vs my m8000 2014

Yamaheater makes a booster that I run on my newer style apexs... thats all it needs and they get really hot.
