Yamcharger clutching

Set your cluthing that when you slam it- it goes to around 10400 and then climbs to 10800.. ;)!

we have been testing the yamacharger for two seasons now, 10,800 is best for stock ign and fuel system, i've proven it on the track dyno and in the field, but make sure you don't run higher than 10,800 or you will lose power fast. (10,500 is to low, it will lose rpm and fall off the power curve under certain conditions) with pc3 and ignition module the true hp peak move to 11,000-11,100 and only losses 2 hp at 11,500 so it allows you to take full advantage of the other end of your power curve. Jeff..I no that you have been also worked with this system for a while. I think alot of the results depend on the programing that is set in ones PC units to determend the peak power curve. When Danny (G-Force) played with "MY" programing on dyno runs - we set sled to go with that.Forsure not every one has same mapping and i realize that.Maybe your mapping does different. 10800 -11000 seemed to show peak and after 11100 it fell off.As i said- i no that there is many different set ups but this is what we found on the dyno.....I think it is a great starting point for someone that is not testing on a dyno to set rpms around 10800 and then work from there. Some guys are starting around 10500 and that is not a honest test for this system.....I no that i played with my clutching and gearing many times..Still aim =LOL

There are alot of factors that come into play, for me there is a 1.5" intence track, Iam running at sea leval (0-1000 tops) and condictions are poor right now.I do have a pc3 & Im but its on its way back from allen so there will be more testing to get the rpm's where they should be.

Still working on my clutching, Thinking of changeing my secondary clutching back to stock to see what happens.

Got my top end run of 130mph speedo in about 1/2 mile of perfect condections. My rpms are at 11000 so I think thats good but I might give the pionner helix another try. When I went back to stock helix at 3-3 I notticed the pionner helix was set at 3-1. Thanks for everyones posts and help.

I gess 10800 is good for me becouse I have a pcIII & Im.
From what I have noticed you won't get your best bang until you are tacking 11000 rpm's with your mods. But I am still working on mine. Its getting better though.

Good to hear j-mac, it takes alot of testing and help from other guys on here to get things working right but when it does its all worth it.
